The Lion Foundation Story
Who we are, and what we do

Our children
Our community
Our future

These words are not just a motto for The Lion Foundation … they are the guiding framework for everything we do. The children of Camp Hill are at the heart of our community. Working to enrich and enhance their academic, athletic and cultural opportunities is a responsibility we all share – and one that The Lion Foundation takes seriously. We know that every program we sponsor today and every dollar of support that we provide is an investment in our children’s future.

When we look into the eyes of a child, we see limitless possibility.

The Lion Foundation believes that every child should be given the opportunity to succeed.

The Roots of The Lion Foundation

The Roots of The Lion Foundation
In 2003, a small group of community-minded Camp Hillians recognized that our tax dollars were being stretched to their limits and that our school district had to make tough choices about important programs that benefit our children. They knew it was time to find a way to provide additional resources so that our children would continue to have access to the programs and opportunities that have set the Camp Hill School District apart as a top educational institution through the years. These individuals knew it was time to put our children, our community and our future first. Thus, The Lion Foundation was created.

The Lion Foundation operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization that works with the school district, Parent-Teacher Organizations and many other community organizations and members to raise funds and support for projects and programs prioritized according to four areas: academics; athletics; cultural activities; and a long-term endowment. A committed volunteer board, along with a small part-time staff, offers a collective array of expertise to advance the mission of The Lion Foundation and ensure that it supports the school district and Camp Hill’s children.

The Lion Foundation Today & Tomorrow

Today, The Lion Foundation continues to meet its’ goal of enhancing the quality of education in Camp Hill and supporting greater access to cultural and recreational opportunities throughout the community for our children and families. As the needs of the school district have changed through the years, so too has the work The Lion Foundation – expanding and adapting to support the growing scholastic, cultural and athletic needs. From supporting better technology in the classroom to strengthening a growing arts program to championing stronger athletics teams, The Lion Foundation and our donors strive every day to help make sure that our students today are ready to be the leaders of tomorrow.

If you would like to support our children, our community, and our future, donate to The Lion Foundation today and make an impact.
